Social and Economic Benefits
Skills Tank delivers cost effective day opportunities to adults with learning disabilities and complex needs. In particular we specialise in behaviours that challenge.
The day opportunities provide an alternative solution to long term care or hospitalisation where the costs can be extreme. Day opportunities enable the individual to remain living with their families in a sustainable way giving parents respite during the day and ability to either work or relax.
Delivery
The day provision consists of education and development delivered in bite-sized chunks through practical activities such as gardening, cookery and woodwork. The programme is person centred utilising the pre-prepared education and care plans so that it meets the individual’s needs and provides a basis on which to measure progress.
