Skills Tank Coronavirus Update
We hope that you are all keeping well, and we would like to take this opportunity to inform you of the current updates regarding the Coronavirus and where we stand with the whole situation. As you can appreciate, we have a constant flow of information coming into us daily and due to this our Senior Management team are meeting up regularly to discuss the information.
As of today (19th March 2020) we are still open and running as normal, however, we have stopped visitors from coming into our sites/hubs, as well as the Head Office. Where essential, we limit the cross-over of any students and staff who attend more than one site. Doing this, we meet our aim in reducing the opportunity for cross-contamination and heighten the monitoring of supplies to ensure good hygiene is upheld.
Some students, although not showing any symptoms, have decided to self-isolate. If anyone wishes to discuss this matter further, then please contact our Head Office on 0121 308 6555 and ask to speak with a member of our Senior Management team.
We will be monitoring the progression of the situation in the upcoming weeks/months to ensure that students and staffs health come first. Depending on what happens next, we may have to reduce student and staff numbers by shutting some sites for a period.
Don’t worry though, as students and staff will both be notified beforehand of any operational changes.
To ensure that we are following all rules and regulations, we have been given a mini booklet filled with information regarding the best hygiene practises for schools and other educational places to follow.
This booklet is filled with step-by-step instructions on how likely you are to catch the virus, how you can prevent the spreading and what to do if you feel unwell.
If you do have any questions or queries regarding the information mentioned in this blog post, please do not hesitate to contact us and we will do our best to answer these queries in line with the current information that we have.
