Heartfelt Gratitude
It is 12:45 pm, and I’ve stopped for lunch in my garden not far from Warwick Castle. The usual traffic noise is negligible; there is no aeroplane noise, and the breeze is gently blowing.
The loudest sound to be heard is young hatch-lings tweeting for their food. As I sit still mum and dad robin appear on the feeders, quickly followed by their new family of three lovely little robins.
Nature carries on and displays its beauty doing its bit to help us through our COVID-19 challenges. The robins made me smile and feel grateful.
Gratitude is all around us, especially at 8 pm on a Thursday. It is heartwarming to hear the still air suddenly filled with the sounds of people clapping, cowbells ringing and saucepans clanging as millions of people across the country show their appreciation for the NHS and key workers.
The love and appreciation for the NHS, carers and key workers are lovely to experience; it brings tears to the eyes of the nurse who lives opposite me. “I’m just doing my job,” she says.
Saying ‘thank you’ is the least we can do to show our gratitude for all those supporting us. Some of our students and staff have sent me some heart-warming pictures to show their appreciation. You can see them in the short video, just follow the link below.

At the end of the hearts is a heartfelt video from Linda Lusardi to all the students and staff of The Care First Group.
